Who Am I?

My Story

I am a licensed art therapist and completed my dual master’s degrees in counseling/art therapy in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, I obtained my Bachelor’s in fine arts from the Design, Architecture, Art and Planning program at the University of Cincinnati. I was inspired after my own father passed away in a hospice setting where he was unable to speak and looked straight up at a white ceiling, day and night. I began skylight paintings as my own art therapy practice to navigate and heal in my grieving process. After much research I know a therapeutic wellness painting could have eased his suffering and helped with my family’s grieving process.  I am dedicated to healing in my current art making practice where I employ art therapy techniques in my work. My background began in hand drawn portraiture and I continue to create commissioned portraits of loved ones and pets. I enjoy using my artwork and knowledge in mental health to grow personally and touch the lives of others

I Create in other ways too

“Look In” is introspective therapeutic artwork that is intuitive and process oriented. This work was created during the COVID-19 pandemic, and explores how to adapt while moving forward into many uncertainties. These works are for sale in my Etsy shop (link below).

I also enjoy making commissioned works. You can review my hand drawn portraiture anywhere from family, pets, places, or celebrities. I work from one photograph or a few to create a personalized work.

If it’s close to your heart, I can make it into art!
